What's a Virtual Baby Shower?

Little Mae Rose is on her way
And growing stronger every day
A little bundle, so tiny and sweet
She’ll surely make our lives complete
This tiny babe, though not yet here
Has invaded our hearts and that’s quite clear
The next few months will seem like ages
And then begins the many stages
And we will all be there to see
How lovely she will grow to be.

Dear Friends and Family,

If you haven't already heard the exciting news, Scott & Jessica are expecting a baby!
Mae Rose Marsh is expected to arrive on February 28, 2014.  Because they won't be able to make it back to the Midwest before she arrives, and we want our family and friends from all over to be able to enjoy this monumental milestone, a virtual baby shower seemed appropriate.

We'll be using the blog to chat, play games and share love & support -- just like we would if we could all meet in person.  Join in the fun!

Registry Information

Registries are currently on babiesrus.com and target.com.  Just look for Jessica Blome & Scott Marsh in California.

Mae's expected due date is February 28, 2014.

Scott and Jessica are grateful to have already received some wonderful hand-me-downs and gifts.  If you'd like to give them something not on the registries, just ask to see if they've already got it.

Their mailing address is:

Thanks!

Game 1: Guess the date/weight/height

2. Mom was in the 7 pound range at her birth.
3. Look at pictures to see how Mom is carrying -- low and a little smaller.
4. At the past few midwife appointments, Mom has been on target for cm measurements.

Game 2: Share advice

For those of you who are already moms, what do you wish someone had told you before your little ones were born?  It could be about the labor & birth, managing new motherhood, etc.

If you're not a mom, share your advice on life, words of encouragement, or anything else you'd like.

Share your words of wisdom with the mom-to-be!

Game 3: Share your birth stories

If you'd like, you can share the story of your children's births to give the mom-to-be inspiration.  Good or bad, funny or serious, it helps to know what moms have accomplished through the years.

What was memorable?  What went well?  What do you wish had gone differently?
